  • I am So saddened to hear of Rainey’s passing. We met 45 years ago when I joined the Rivercrest Church family as the organist. I was asked to ‘fill in’ for a couple weeks and ended up staying until the doors closed 27 years later! I’m so glad that I did get the opportunity to stay. You and your mom always held a special place in my heart 💜 all of the Rivercrest church family did. I will never forget you. Even after the church closed, I would pop in to visit you and we would catch up on each other’s lives…. With a glass of wine of course. I will cherish you in my heart forever my friend. So long for now 💞 May you rest in peace - Posted by: Rhonda Spatt Bagdonas (Friend) on: Mar 16, 2026

  • As a Nursing Classmate, from the Class of 1969, Winnipeg General Hospital, now Winnipeg Health Sciences Centre, many classmates shared a very special friendship with Rainey. She was an excellent Obstetrical Nurse at the Women’s Pavilion for many years, welcoming babies and supporting moms and dads with her remarkable skills and caring. Her infectious smile and laugh, her caring nature will be fondly remembered. We will miss her dearly at our class luncheons and our reunions. Rest peacefully dear friend. • I’m so sorry Jill for the loss of your mom and to the rest of her family I extend my deepest sympathy. Rainey was such a wonderful person. We worked together in FAU at Women’s for so many years. During the happy and sad times. She was a kind and caring nurse and loving compassionate person. Her care of her patients and other staff was right from her heart. I consider myself very lucky to have been considered one of her friends. We stayed in touch after retirement and I so enjoyed our talks and visits. Always remember how proud she was of you Jill. Rest in Peace Rainey you are loved will be missed. - Posted by: Susan Dolinski (Work friend) on: Mar 14, 2026
